(Burrillville, RI)  Josh D’Alessio scored four goals while Nick Ferrucci tallied four assists and Curtis Briggs denied 17 of 19 shots on net as Ponaganset remained undefeated in Rhode Island Division-3 Hockey with a 6-2 win over Scituate/Woonsocket Co-op at Levy Arena Friday night.

Scituate/Woonsocket (3-3, 2-3) tied the game less than three minutes later when Austin Forget beat Briggs for an unassisted goal on the power play.

D’Alessio completed his hat trick 2:44 later off a Nik Goff assist and Matt Meinertz pushed the lead to 4-1 with 6:52 elapsed in the period with his fourth goal of the season, assisted by Ferrucci. 46 seconds later, freshman Ryan Watts netted his fifth goal of the year, assisted by his twin brother, Nate, and Jake Lincourt to cap the second period outburst for Chieftains, but Forget tallied his second goal of the game and fifth of the season with 3:48 remaining before the second intermission to cut Ponaganset’s advantage to 5-2.

D’Alessio tallied the lone goal of the final period with 4:03 to play, his seventh in four games, with Ferrucci and Meinertz notching helpers.
