Week 11 of the NFL season yielded a few milestone marks as the Thanksgiving week of games approach. Indianapolis Colts running back Frank Gore moved into 15th place on the all-time rushing list, passing Fred Taylor with 11,706 yards. The 11-year veteran from the University of Miami could become the 15th player in league history to rush for 12,000 yards before the end of the season and will be primed to pass a handful of Hall of Famers by the early portion of 2016 to reach the top-ten. Meanwhile, Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson notched his 92nd career rushing touchdown and sits, alone, in 10th place after snapping a three-way tie with Hall of Famers Jerome Bettis and Franco Harris.

Elsewhere, Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers became the 40th player in league history to complete 2,500 passes, Chicago Bears quarterback Jay Cutler is the 42nd signal-caller in league history to pass for more than 30,000 yards and Carson Palmer surpassed the 250 touchdown passes mark to join an elite group of 18 others. Detroit Lions wide receiver Calvin Johnson passed Marques Colston, Gary Clark and Joey Galloway for 43rd in receptions and became the 44th player in league history to catch, at least, 700 passes and Kansas City Chiefs defensive end Tamba Hali moved into a tie for 49th place with Osi Umenyiora with 85 sacks in his ten-year career.

A special note from the weekend: while not passing anyone on the all-time service list, Indianapolis Colts kicker Adam Vinatieri became the 10th player in league history to appear in, at least, 300 games. Assuming the 20-year veteran from South Dakota State remains healthy, he will finish the season in 6th place in games played as he is poised to pass John Kasay, John Carney, Brett Favre and Jerry Rice over the campaign’s final six games..
